Knoxville, Tenn. – For a second consecutive year, Apex Bank has been named as the Top Performing Community Bank in Tennessee by the Independent Community Bankers Association’s (ICBA) “Top Performing Community Banks” industry analysis, as featured in the May edition of Independent Banker magazine. The publication also ranks Apex Bank second in the nation, for banks with $300 million to $1 billion in assets, climbing one spot from 2017.
“We are proud to be recognized once again by ICBA as the number one Tennessee bank out of 146 banks,” said Matt Daniels, Owner, President, and CEO of Apex Bank. “All the credit goes to our team members that have worked tirelessly to expand our services through customer acquisition and new office deployment. Apex’s future is bright as we invest in new technologies and services to improve upon the well-established Apex banking experience.”
In only ten years, Apex Bank has become a forward-thinking community bank, increasing total assets from $157 million to over $540 million while creating over 100 local jobs and enhancing customer experiences. “At every level of the organization, Apex Bank understands that banking is a service-based industry. The quality of our service is defined by our customers’ experiences and our long-term success, in both new and existing markets, is best achieved by listening to the communities we serve,” said Daniels.
With the addition of six new offices since 2017, Apex Bank now operates 13 retail offices throughout Tennessee in addition to its Knoxville-based national mortgage servicing center. Apex Bank’s team delivers high-quality financial services and actively looks for opportunities to engage with local communities to build relationships that promote economic stability and growth. The bank supports each community through philanthropic work tailored to meet that community’s particular needs.
