  • FAQs
    1. Will my current routing number and account number(s) change?

Your deposit account numbers will not change but the bank Routing and Transit number (RTN) will change to 084307761, which is Apex Bank’s RTN. The RTN is the nine-digit number that comes before your account number at the bottom of your checks. This number routes transactions and checks to your bank.

    1. What happens to my Direct Deposit or Automatic Payments?

Direct deposits, such as payroll and government agency payments, as well as automatic payments, will continue to post to your Apex Bank account for 60 days following May 27th. During this period, we will issue a notification of change to the relevant entities, prompting them to update to the new Apex Bank routing number. However, it is highly recommended that you contact your payroll department, government agency, or billing company directly to provide them with the updated routing number.

    1. How do I update my direct deposit for VA or Social Security?

The links below will walk you through updating your information.

    1. Will I have to order new checks for my checking account or deposit slips for my savings account?

Apex will provide the first supply of checks and deposit slips free of charge. You should receive these in the mail the week of May 20, 2025.  You can start using your Apex Bank checks on May 26, 2025.  You should discontinue using and destroy your HomeTrust Bank checks at that time. Your HomeTrust Bank checks will continue to clear for 60 days.

    1. What will happen to OnLine Banking bill payments I have scheduled from my HomeTrust Bank account?

Any payments scheduled through May 23, 2025 will be processed by HomeTrust Bank. You will need to set up your payees and recurring payments in Apex Bank Bill Pay. You may enroll for Online Banking and Bill Pay beginning May 5, 2025. Please be sure not to schedule any payments from Apex Bank Bill Pay prior to May 27, 2025.

    1. Can I still use my HomeTrust Bank debit card after the conversion?
